SOUTH INDIA KA SWITZERLAND-- Kodaikanal

The mountains have always attracted me. When a program was made to go to Kodaikanal, the queen of hills in South India, the mind became happy. It was a family trip of nine members. Very beautiful. Madurai and Kodaikanal from Chennai. Another center of faith in Tamil Nadu is Madurai and Kodaikanal, the natural sixth sprawling of nature. The sea around it is also beautiful, it was evening after reaching Madurai. We visited the Meenakshi Temple at night. This temple is in the middle of nine streets. And there are many shops in every street. In which beautiful murtios, artworks, items of worship and sweets are available. There are grand gopurams on each side of this temple, on which the carved statues of Hindu Gods and Goddesses are made on seeing the top, it is seen from above that this temple is in the middle of the city where there are four directions to reach it. The idol of Parvati Devi, like Minakshi Devi, that is, the eye of fish, is the main, but there is also an idol of Lord Shiva in the form of Nataraja. The specialty of this idol is that here Shiva is seen dancing on the right foot, not on the left foot, but the night's beauty was so attractive that even when standing in line, there was no tiredness.

The second day we were to leave for Kodaikanal. The joy of traveling in a mini bus is something else where you freeze. One does not feel like closing the eyes looking at the mountain streams and the breathtaking scenery. In such a situation, keep enjoying and drinking and eating. This is the tallest hill station in Tamil Nadu, called Switzerland of South India, where even the cold is just enough to make a sweater work. However, cold increases slightly at night. When the lights are lit in hotel houses located on every CD of the mountain, it seems as if the stars have landed on the ground. Boating Club and Botanical Garden are the places to see, the natural lake between the mountains, Pilar Rocks Perumal Peak and Herbal Peak are also worth seeing. Herbal mountains are known to have pends of herbs in which leaves of different colors fascinate the mind. Some such species of flowers were also seen which are only here in the cold, here the Silver Valley is such a point, in which the cut is so deep that when the clouds get stuck in it, then they are not able to get out quickly and for a long time. There is a mist shade in the entire valley. It is common for the clouds to rise in the mountains and to be missed by rain, so tourists also keep an umbrella with them. There is a lot of sale of hot corn and peanut seeds near all the scenic places, although there are plenty of chocolate made here. Because there is a lot of cocoa cultivation here. It is made in homes like a small scale industry. Once, three decisions of rice were made in a year, but now due to lack of water, this crop is grown only once. Along with South Indian cuisine, now North Indian foods are also found in these places. All means of going to these places are available. Many trains from Chennai go to Madurai. Trips not only entertain, but also teach us to live in collectivity.
